His unfortunate meeting with the barrier at corner station #2 ended his day and his ride. #6 Zero Car Brian O'Neill 1:28.23 The NECC President put on a great show in turn 1 with his version of a "flame-out" with spin. Or was that a "spin with burnout"? #8 Car Tom Wilcox 1:35.81 I believe this is Tom's first Pocono event as a driver. His '65 140/4sp is one of the sharpest Corvairs around. #15 Car Dan Schmidt DNR Dan chose not to run for time in his '65 110 PG Coupe. #29 Car Bob Scheidel 1:34.44 Bob has been coming to the NECC events since the very beginning. His cherry red '65 110/4sp 500 Coupe with the IROC rims is very clean. #6/#61 Car John Egerton 1:27.75 Todd Egerton 1:29.63 This '64 140/4sp Coupe saw double duty as John & Todd shared the ride, posting 2nd & 4th in class. #66 Car Terry Stafford 1:22.74 His '64 Spyder Coupe with it's 180/SU carb was fast enough for a 10th place overall and 1st in class. Here he takes a novice for a tour of the track. #71 Car Bruce Carlton 1:14.98 Corvair FTD, and 2nd overall. What can you say about a guy that goes 3 seconds faster than last year and just misses overall FTD? Well done, Bruce. While Not Corvairs these have to be two of the most fun cars to drive. Their size is well suited to this course. #41 Car John Ryall DNR John had problems and chose not to run for time. #82 Car Thomas Knorr 1:32.66 His AH Sprite with it's 1275cc engine was 1st in class.
