Event Rules & Regulations

1) Driver eligibility: All drivers must have paid in full all fees set by the Bayshore Corvair Association, Inc. unless by some authorized agreement by said club.

2) Vehicle eligibility: All four wheel vehicles are permitted to enter. All open top cars (convertibles or roadsters) must have an SCCA approved SINGLE HOOP and 4 POINT minimum mounting roll bar installed. Individual hoop type OEM roll bars (i.e. Nissan Z, Honda S2000, BMW Z3, etc.) WILL NOT BE ALLOWED as per our insurance carrier. The vehicle must pass the technical inspection in order to participate in the event. Any exceptions to the technical inspection rules will be determined by the technical inspection chairman.

3) License: All drivers shall possess a valid drivers license. All drivers under 18 years of age are required to have notarized evidence of a parent or guardian’s consent to compete or they must obtain their signature on an entry and waiver form in the presence of a Bayshore official.

4) Drivers: All drivers and their cars will be assigned to a group based on their experience and vehicle performance. Each group will have scheduled blocks of time for driving on the track and for required corner working duties. A work schedule with drivers names will be posted the morning of the event. In the event that the registered driver cannot perform his corner working duties (i.e. car repair, food run, etc.) they must provide an alternate worker.

5) Passengers: Passengers are not permitted!

6) Instructors: Qualified instructors (approved by Bayshore Corvair) must be a paid entrant, must sign an Instructor Waiver, and will wear a special wrist band throughout the day. We reserve the right to approve instructors. These Instructors will ride or drive only in any approved vehicles on the course during an instructed entrant’s practice session. It is recommended that these Instructors only drive an entrants car during part of the first and second practice sessions.

7) Multiple entries: A driver may enter the event in more than one class but will only be eligible for one award, if awards are to be provided. Also, the driver may be limited as to the quantity of entries by the Bayshore Corvair Association, Inc.

8) There will be a limit of two (2) drivers per vehicle.

9) Drivers meeting: Each driver must attend the event driver’s meeting or they will not be permitted to drive on the track. Event officials shall devise a method to confirm attendance by all drivers. The meeting should take place near the registration table. Details at the track.

10) Helmets: Drivers and instructors must wear safety helmets at all times when entering the false grid area, driving on the track, and exiting the track. Helmets must have a legible SNELL FOUNDATION, SNELL 95 or later sticker.

11) Safety belts: Drivers and instructors must wear safety belts at all times when entering the false grid area, driving on the track, and exiting the track.

12) Footwear: Suitable footwear shall be worn by drivers (no sandals, heavy boots, or open toed shoes).

13) Long sleeve shirts or jackets and long pants are required by drivers and instructors at all times when entering the false grid area, driving on the track, and exiting the track.

14) No alcoholic beverages or drugs are permitted on the grounds of the raceway.

15) Behavior: Any unsafe driving or unsportsmanlike conduct, at or in the vicinity of the event, will cause for immediate disqualification. We reserve this right.

16) There is NO FUEL sold at the track, please come prepared.
