Most of you will remember the 1962 Corvair Monza running through the cones. Other memorable Corvair ads include the Monza Spyder ad showing the interior looking through the open drivers door. And the exhaustive music ad showing the distinctive tail pipe of the Monza Spyder Coupe, is another of these great black & white ads used in this period.

Corvette ads were much more frequent than the Corvair ads. Pennzoil used the fuelie engine to promote it's product. The 160mph speedometer ad shows only 2027 miles on the clock. And the '66 427 ad makes the car look pretty good, even with the headlights in the raised position. Horsepower was king and the car manufactures couldn't give us enough of it. The 427 Turbo-Jet / 425hp did make your stomach muscles tighten.

One of my all time favorite ads is the Flight 427 now departing through gates 1, 2, 3 and 4.
And of course, the 1973 Corvette ad is also one of my favorites. After all, it's red.
