BYLAWS
Paragraph 1. Meetings
Regular Meetings are held once a month at a time & place to be determined by the officers, and to be announced in the newsletter or by phone to each active/family member no later than 24 hours before said meeting.
- A. The order of business at the monthly meeting will be as follows:

Introduction of Guests
Introduction of Members (optional)- Reports of Secretary, Treasurer, and Committees
Announcements- Old and Unfinished Business
Nomination and Election of Officers & Trustees (if necessary)
New Business
Miscellaneous- Adjournment
Refreshments
Entertainment- B. Official business may be conducted at a meeting if a quorum is present.
Paragraph 2. Quorum
A quorum is one quarter of the active/family members.
Paragraph 3. Majority
A majority is one half plus one of the active/family members present.
Paragraph 4. Nominations
Nominations for officers and trustees will be made from the floor at the November meeting. As per the Constitution, Officers terms are for one year (limited to two consecutive terms- 2 years), Trustee terms are for three years (limited to two consecutive terms- 6 years). A nominee for Trustee must be an active paid member for a minimum of five years prior to election.
- A. For any year where more than one Trustee must be elected, the person with the most votes in the Election receives the longest term.
- B. Nominations shall be published in the newsletter at least one week before the election meeting
Paragraph 5. Elections
The December meeting will be the election meeting annually. Installation of new officers and trustees will be at the January meeting or January Holiday Party.
- A. Mail-in votes must be received at the club post office box no later than the day before the election meeting. Mail-in votes must be sealed in an unmarked envelope, inside a mailing envelope marked with the member’s name and address.
- B. Votes are to be counted by any officer who is not a candidate. If all officers are candidates, the president shall appoint someone to tally the votes.
- C. If a tie vote should occur, the winner will be determined by the toss of a coin, to be done by any incumbent officer who is not a candidate.
Paragraph 6. Dues
- A. Dues will be determined by a majority vote at any meeting where a quorum is present.
- B. Family members dues will be one half (1/2) of the dues of an active member.
- C. Membership in the Corvair Society of America (CORSA) is highly recommended, but not mandatory.
Paragraph 7. Assessments and Fees
- A. Special assessments will not be levied without the approval of the membership.
- B. An entry fee may be charged at any event at the discretion of the Events Chairman and the Sponsor of the event.
Paragraph 8. Fiscal Year
The fiscal year will be from January 1st to December 31st.
